First Mods Advice for the Newbies

Thought we could have a little fun with this...

What are the first 2 or 3 mods you would recommend for the newbies and in what order? Here's my recommendation:

1. Axxis Deluxe Plus brake pads - don't let the brake dust ruin the looks of your beautiful new wheels

2. V1/S1 combo - could help to save you money in the long run for mods 4, 5, & 6

3. Bimmer Spinners - if you want to get in with the "in" crowd

Mods 1 and 2. I had the Bimmer Spinners and I decided that it was a little too flakey on my X5.. The quality of the cap is not as good...my .02 worth..

for a 3.0

If you have a 3.0, I suggest the DINAN engine software and transmission software. For the price, it is definitely worth it. It gives you that happy medium in between the I6 & the 8 if you can't have the 4.4, 4.6 or 4.8. I have been very pleased with mine so far........

Dinan upgrade!

What do you notice in Dinan upgrade? How much more hp/torque? Any changes in fuel efficiency?

Dinan

Not sure on the exact #'s for hp & torque, but from stock - especially when you put it in SPORT or Manual mode, it feels like it has 50 more hp!!! I loved it before, but I have fallen in love all over again after I got those installs! It's supposed to help on the fuel efficiency, but really, I don't believe it does that much. It might in normal auto mode, but I just don't see it in sport or manual.

It just helps the efficiency & shifting all around. Check out the DINAN website and choose the options for the 3.0 & it gives all the details. I also posted something on it a while back too on here..........
Let us know what your 1st mod will be (I HIGHLY recommend this though)
