NEW Transmission Installed Today under Warranty (or is it)
I picked up my X today from the local dealer, after 4 visits with the infamous "CLUNK" they opened up a PUMA claim and changed my tranny.....
When i was reviewing the paperwork I noticed that it is a re-manufactured transmission, not a brand new one. Does anyone have any comments about this. Maybe someone who has been in the same situation. Does it make a difference, were they supposed to put in a brand new tranny from the factory? Thanks in advance. Robert

All repairs are under warranty for at least a year.
Check out your paperwork. Should be in writting.

Ask the installer. They should have put in writing any
conditional driving instructions on your paperwork. Everything should be in writing whenever a repair is done. Quote:

Congratulations on getting the reman tranny. It could have been worse - you could've been out of warranty.
You should be able to get under the X5 with a flashlight in a day or two and make certain there are no leaks (or just monitor your garage floor).
