Sunroof One Touch Close not working - 2004 panoramic

As title states, I have a 2004 X5 4.4 (mid year) with panaromic sunroof.
One touch open works. One touch it opens the liner, second opens the roof halfway, third touch opens fully.

But when closing things get messy.
One touch it closes the sunroof 1/10th of it. So gotta touch it 10 times to close the roof, 10 more times to close the liner.

Anybody had this issue?
Tried the reset thing yesterday (open the roof liner, then press the center of the sunroof button and hold it. It opened the sunroof tilted kind, then stayed there did nothing.) I held the button for over a minute nothing. Then closed the whole thing with multiple button presses...

This car is breaking down all the time.
With only 65K miles, a total POS for sure!
CV joints are next... A total waste of money! Never another X5 for me!
