stealer experience

hi everyone...had a great stealer experience this week...brought the x in because i have a slow leak from the 2 power steering hoses..one that goes from the resvouir to a metal fitting and the other that goes from the pump to another metal fitting...they kept the car all day and when the service advisor called to tell me what was wrong..he said that under cpo bmw does not cover any rubber hoses...i then informed him that yes he is correct but the cpo brochure states all rubber hoses except power sterring and air conditioning hoses...he still did not believe me when i showed him the pamphlet and he proceeded to ask the service manger who was nearby..and was told by him that they are covered..he did not know what to say at that point and he then apologized...i then spoke to the tech and he told me that he did not check the car until almost the end of the day and didnt really see the leak until i pointed it out to him when i picked it up...i got so angry that i had to leave quickly...i dont like being lied to...will bring in next week to be fixed...sorry for long post but i have to vent....thanks rob

oh. I hate going to Life Quality BMW. They only provide loaners for people who bought their car there, and the service advisor I have to deal with is a TOTAL AS**OLE! I bought my X at rallye's, the service is pretty good, but in order to get a loaner, you have to make an appointment one week in advance, which isn't so good.

hmm...this isn't something I wanted to hear. My appt at hassel bmw is for next saturday. I need an annual oil change, brake fluid change, and one of the tensioner/pulley replaced because of squealing in the morning.

I hope I don't run into any problems. Who was you service writer? I scheduled almost a month in advance and asked for a loaner. I hope they provide me with one even though I didnt buy from them.

I'm switching to hassel for the first time because of bad experiences with life quality bmw

i have never heard one good thing about life quality and would never bring my x there...for what you are bringing your x in for you will be fine at hassel..i bought my x at bayside bmw but have used hassel from day one because it is closer to home...they should give you a ,oaner because they will give me a loaner when i bring my car back for repair and i didnt buy from them....i think all in all you will be ok..i dont want to give name of advisor on public forum..i still have to use them...if you want name send me a private message...

Maybe they should be renamed Hassle BMW

Leaky PS lines are typical w/ the V8's. They've been this way for years on the E38/E39's for years, so you'd think BMW would fix the problem...but then again, they'd loose money if they actually FIXED the problems w/ their cars.
