old school maintenance on BMWs was every 60K as a preventative measure

I just replaced mine today at 78k (03' 4.4i)

Very little dark drip from the inlet side.

Watch out with 2004 and newer V8 N62 Engine. The snap on line is very fragile. My X was leaking gas until I got new tubes. I did it at 55K.

Fuel Filter

I just had my BMW independent replace the filter today at 81,000 and asked him to reset adaptations at the same time. We'll see how she runs on the road trip this week.
