I prefer to have dedicated winters anyway. Because I have yet to find a so-called All Season tire that is not a true AT truck tire that handles good in the dry and also in the deep snow. So I would much rather run true summer tires for best performance most of the year, including rain - and run snow tires for the winter. Once you buy a second set of rims (I found a nice new 19" set for $600), the snow tires are not all that expensive - figure $800 and they will last 3-4 seasons, so couple hundred bucks a year. Drop in the bucket kinda money, IMHO.

Broke down and got....(drum roll goes here)

A 2005 4.4i w/ 34k miles. This car is for my wife and in the end I thought the IS was not the best fit.

Love the car!
