I caved in!

Well guys... I finally put some money down on a 4.8is. I have gone through the gamut of colors... my local dealer actually has four 4.8is's! After seeing them all side by side we decided to go with silver. There's quite a few out there but finding a silver '06 for a "great price" has been tough... and I found a deal we couldn't pass up on a Metallic black one. I know I swore I wouldn't get a black one! But: 25k miles, NOT a lease return, carfax clean, 1 owner, running boards, clear bra, tow package, the light wood interior, brand new tires $36,400.00. I did good right?

Anybody heard of MSN Auto car sales service?

So I'm trying to work a deal on a car that is out of state. The seller has the car at a shipping facility. The service company "MSN Auto" brokers deals between parties evidently. They are an escro company if you will for cars. They hold all the paper work on the car, I send them the money, they release/ship the car, I get 5 days to assess the car and either keep it or send it back.

Anyone here ever hear or use these guys? I've tried to Google these guys but keep coming up empty. Their email is "[email protected]"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BE VERY CAREFUL! Are you willing to fly out and see the X before you put down any money? You should get a PPI done as well. An inspection could be the best investment you can make. You have to pay to ship the car, so maybe set it up yourself. If you have any doubts about buying, don't. Trust your instincts. Personally, it sounds a little shady, but who knows. Good Luck. To the OP, sounds like you found a really good buy! Congrats. Don't worry what others think. As long as you are happy, that's all that matters.

Ooops...sorry about that

AutoChat,

Sorry I posted in your thread. I thought I was starting a new thread. Didn't mean to hijack it.

I'll move it.

No worries.

DR, I am getting an independent inspection done tomorrow on the one I found. I just paid $129 online and they send someone out to do a 150 point inspection. I recommend you do that. They are recommended by Edmunds. Here's the link:

AiM Mobile Inspections - Professional mobile vehicle inspection service for new and used cars.

I think you did fine if you are happy with what you paid for it. It is like buying a new computer. You just have to stop looking at the ads for a year and be happy!

Enjoy!

ON EDIT: this thread is worthless without pics, of course...
