Anybody changed the oil breather pipes?

Hi all, has anyone ever changed their oil breather pipes, at least I think they are the oil breather pipes?!!

I changed my camshaft sensor the other day and took off the plastic cover on top of the engine to gain better access to it, but then discovered two pipes near the bulkhead above the intake manifold had literally melted into mush.

I'm trying to replace them but there is one that I cant get access to to get a screwdriver, nor socket (with one UJ-may try two next time) on the jubilee clip to undo it to release the rest of the pipe that is left on the engine. Its right down the back underneath the bulkhead.

Has anyone had any experience, or would like to make any suggestions?

Its a 2001 4.4...

Thanks
