THANKS! + new door carrier = permanent fix?

Hi All,
First of all, as a new X5 owner I want to say Thanks! for this site. So far since I have bought this X5 in June of this year I have:

-repaired 3! window regulators
-replaced one window regulator where the repair did not hold
-tightend the 3 bolts holding the windshield wiper motor to fix inop windsheild wiper
-I will replace the drivers door carrier this weekend, it broke last week when the temp went below freezing overnight

All of the above I've done with info found on this site using the search, so you've turned me into just a lurker... I don't even need to ask questions

So besides the thank you, is the concensis that the new door carrier will fix the freezing problem? Or should I do the 'rubber glove + grease' fix or spray with antifreeze? I will spray the other doors for sure.

Thanks again, and you guys sure have some great looking X5's!

Brian
