sorry man I have been landscaping for the past 2 weekends and doing maintenance on my equipment getting it ready for the season!

This 90 year old lady lived in our house before us, she must not have pruned a tree for 20 years! You should have seen the piles I was making with my chainsaw and a 15' ladder! And we have just under 2 acres so I had a lot of property to cover!

I'll get rolling on this for you, maybe tonight if I can snag an hour in the garage. Sorry this is taking so long LOL!

when you go to te.com and insert the part number for the AMP - you get the "restricted" text...

Restricted

UPDATE ON TRYING TO WIRE DIRECT THROUGH PINS 10 AND 12 OF TRAILER WIRING HARNESS IN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT TO EACH REAR FOG DIRECT:

No dice. Terminator, any ideas for me? I was thinking about testing pin 3 with a test light and trying to use the original wiring for the install, but as it stands now, with pins 10 and 12 wired direct to each rear fog, the icon lights up in the cluster but no lights in the rear.

I know pin 3 of X609 is used in the original install in the first page, maybe those pins are only activated when the trailer module is plugged in though?

any change of the state on those two pins?

if the trailer module supplies power to the lights from the pin 3 (designed to power rear fog light of the trailer, not the fog lights of the car), the trailer module must respond to change of the voltage on the regular fog pins (pins 10 and 12)

Also, if i remember correctly, there was something in the programming file about rear fogs - i know the original write up did not mention any programming changes but could it be that the LCM needs to be "told" about activating the rear fogs?

I didn't test the pins before hooking it up, figured I'd troubleshoot after if it didn't work.

Whats the best way to test the state of the pins? multimeter or test light?

I don't have NCS Expert but if you get a chance can you look into the programming to see if there are any lines to code in lieu of the trailer module being present?

multimeter would be much better to test... and there were lines in the programming in reference to the rear fogs - after my kids killed the laptop, the backups was actually in Win Vista, not XP, and now I am trying to get the XP back onto the machine - so, i can't look up actual lines...
