It is most likely one of the coils... if you have a few tools and some time, pull the code telling you which cylinder it is. (important to know which cylinder it is) Swap the coil with another cylinder, clear the faults. Drive until light comes back on. If the missfire fault followed the coil to the other cylinder, that's the problem. If it stayed in the original cylinder it is either a spark plug or injector, and more parts swapping can narrow it down to which.

Ignition Misfire - Air Intake Actuator
I ran into very similar situation, the tell tale was listening to the engine with the hood up to listen for a vacuum sucking noise... this lead to the Air Intake Actuator that was damaged...
Also see post; WOW!!!! cool trick to fix rough idle - bimmerfest - BMW Forums For me a simple fix with a #10 woodscrew through from the backside up into the paddle (simply removing snap off cover) saved me >$200.
