2008 Sport seats into 2001?

Hello,

Was curious about installing 2008 sport seats into my E53 2001 X5. Has anyone done this or knows if this is a strait swap?

Thank you!

-Ed

From a 2008 X5, not sure if it was a 4.8, 4.6 or what... But from an X5.

Thank you.

I assume that I might be able to use the existing rails from the comfort seat and wiring harness?

Do what i did.... ( I installed the new seats from E92 to my 01 x5) Using the existing rails and harnesses by switching out the wiring pins and taking off the seats cushions from new seats/old seats then modified some new mounting points for new seats cushion.

Well, mainly because I got a smoking deal on a set of 08 seats. Kinda stuck with them. But I am not opposed to some mod work... It was a snap purchase based on the price. I should have researched a bit, but the seats would not have been around. Plus I have had no luck finding black 2000-2006 seats for less than $1000.

If anyone has details of how the swap can be made I would appreciate it.

Thank you!

-Ed
