wheels Which Ones

I am thinking of upgrading to 20's but I have a dilema as my car is a 05 Should I get the 4.8is wheels as that would be the right wheels for the age of the car or should I get the 4.6 wheels.

What do you guys think.

Has anyone got any pics with 4.8 wheels on a black X5 and if any of you computer wizards can put a car with 4.6 wheels side by side to help me choose.

Thanks Guys

Personally, I like the 4.6 wheels better, regardless of year. But, the 4.8's are pretty darn nice too. Do you have the 132 19's now? - Looks that way in your avatar, but hard to tell. Those are my #1 choice (and Bozo's too!). You don't like those well enough? Also, beware that you'll give up a bit of ride comfort w/20's... GL with whatever you decide!

Theres no doubt about it !The 4.6is wheels look great and I have them myself on my 2003 3.0D,but if my car was a 2004> ,I would opt for the 4.8is as these are nice also and more inline with the facelifted X5!Assuming that you like the OEM look,if you put the 4.6is wheels on ,your facelifted X5 would be out of character.with the"older" wheels..........my opinion of course.

No way other that 4.8is wheels, they are hot. Good luck finding them from a reliable source.

My vote is for the 4.6is wheels as well. They just look mean with the facelift.

The 4.6is wheels look great on the facelifted X5. My neighbors Jet Black 05 4.4i looks perfect with them. I personally like the 4.6is wheels better because they are easier to clean...and you can stick your hands and arms down in them to clean the insides out.

I think what you are asking (and I am reading in between the lines) is since you have an '05, why should you date your car backwards by buying 4.6i wheels even though they look great? To each his own, I think they both look great, but I am leaning towards the 4.8i wheels myself.

I prefer the 4.8is wheels...shown here in some (not very good quality) pics on my '05 sapphire black 4.4i.
