Front monitor vs. CD player question

Just another question my friends:

I noticed that behind the front monitor I have a cassette deck.
But in my sales order, the option setted was:

602 Tv monitor and computer
644 Bluetooth
677 HiFi LOGIC7
672 6 cd changer
650 cd player
661 bmw business radio
My X5 has front monitor and computer but NO GPS Navigation.

Question: Why I do not have a CD player behind the TV monitor/computer.???
Is this configuration ok???. Because the only option to load a CD is putting it in the 6 cd changer.

Thanks for answer.

On the X5, if you have the front 16:9 screen then your only option is the cassette player behind the screen.

The CD player behind the screen was only available on the later e46 model.

Cool - didn't realize they had the CD behind the screen. Still don't understand why they didn't put those in our X's...

Reportedly it was because of clearance issues behind the dash. Personally I don't buy it. When I did the 4:3 to 16:9 retrofit in my X5 there seemed to me to be plenty of space in that area to accomodate not only a single CD but also an in-dash 6 disk changer.

All the same, ever since I installed the Dension IceLink and got an iPod my CD days are in my rear view mirror. What's a CD?
