Bosch Icon Problem

So I just got some new wiper blades, and the driver side blade doesn't seem to work very well. It seems to skip over the middle and not wipe it. About 1 out of 10 it will do a full pass and be fine. Is there a break in period, do I need to tighten the arm to obtain more pressure? I am just curious as I don't want to drive like this as it is a safety issue. Thanks in advance

You need to snap off the tab on the wiper arm.

I'm having the same problem and noticed my shop removed the airfoil since it was part of the old assembly. It is especially aggravating at speeds about 70 mph. I'm thinking of going back to the old setup.

You need to snap off the tabs on the wiper arm. Problem solved.

The airfoil needs to be put back on. This was designed so that when you are at high speeds 70+, the air it pushes the airfoil down and the wiper blade works correctly. Aerodynamic & Engineering. Remember these SAVs were designed for Autobahn speeds.

i installed the braketless rain x ones and he is right u gotta remove that or itll keep skiping in the middle. I am not exactly sure what happens to the wiper blades when i go 70miles but i hope nothing bad. if anything those bracketless wiper blades are awesome!

Aren't the airfoils built-in the Bosch Icon wiper itself? We just have the Bosch Icon wipers installed and have no lifting issues even when going 70+ MPH.

Mine just have this annoying chatter around the middle of the window and I can't get it to stop. I'm half tempted to use some 0000 steelwool, my orbital hand sander and lots of Windex to polish the glass. This worked like a charm to remove the hard water spots off the windows of the house, so I'm hoping whatever is on the X's window will go away.

No it doesn't. There is no need for that piece with Bosch Icons.
