Carl Reinz 3.0i head gasket

I'm just about to replace the head gasket on my 3.0i and have purchased a Carl Reinz gasket set, but I'm kinda shocked by the head gasket that came in the package - it is extremely thin and basiclly looks like 3 sheets of stamped copper riveted together at 2 points. Nothing at all like the beefy metal impregnated things I've installed before. Hell the cylinder cutouts are not even *round* on this gasket - there are noticeable flat spots in every cylinder cutout.

Anyone use these before???

Is this equivalent to OE for an M54 engine?
