mparker is on a distinguished road
My X5 4.8 is

Alryte guys,

June this year i traded my 04 3.0 petrol for a 4.8is with 80 000km on the clock. All i heard at the time was " YOU'RE NUTZ !!! I figured i'd go ahead anywayz.

Well, go figure ...i recently did two of the most awesome road trips one could ever do....Cape Town to Namibia ( The entire eastern seaboard of South Africa ) and Cape Town To Mozambique ( The entire Westeern sea board of South Africa)....all iin a matter of three months .

Suffice to say, 9000 km later and my puppy did not miss a beat. She held up quite nicely in some of the roughest terrain africa can offer and i was suitably impressed with the Hill desecnt control feature.

I dont think the Michelin diamiris are best suited to this vehicle though, well not if your're into bundu bashing at least. ( thats Safrican for serious off-roading)

And to all those sorry ol sods that regard the x5 as an urban warrior and uselss off-road.....go and learn how to drive. !!!!

Im a happy man.
