Great Mechanic in Chicago - X- Dealership

Dear All,

After long and long search to find reliable BMW service center to take care of my car (BMW X5 / 3.0i), I am happy to share my experience with you about the brand new “R & N Bavarian Motors”.

They are previous BMW dealership technicians and they only accept BMW cars, so they know exactly what they are doing with a decent labor rate.

last week, I went to their shop for a broken door carrier, we went through full FREE inspection and provide me with really good quotation for a lot of work that SHOULD be done (Broken front passenger door carrier, leaking washer pump, aged DISA valve for the engine and leaking radiator sensor).

Every thing was done today very quick and in professional way.

These guys are great, they let me stay around my car, managing very nice conversation and sincere advices, I really recommend them for your BMW car. By the way they just open before six weeks so take the benefit to be one of their first customers.

Qoute from another customer "Simon" experience who I meet at R & N

"I define myself as a car enthusiast. I know my car, I understand my car and I love my car. I am therefore very picky about where I take my car and more often than not end up regretting paying someone for substandard and over priced work. Well, not at R & N. Taking my 330ci to Ben is the best decision I could possibly have made.

I'd been looking for somewhere other than the dealership for a long time and after seeing the reviews on here I decided to give R&N a call. They were so polite and helpful on the phone I figured it was worth giving them a shot. And boy am I glad I did. Ben spent close to 2 hours inspecting my recent purchase, from top to bottom, and talked me through everything he was doing. On top of being a really personable guy, he was more than happy to answer the hundreds of little questions I had and went through every little one with incredible patience and detail. I will not hesitate for a moment to recommend this shop.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly for some, their prices are incredibly good. Where you save the real money though, isn't in the lower labor rates but in the honest labor times! The Stealership will gouge you for hours of uneccessary time whereas Ben isn't going to make you pay anymore than you absolutely have to.

I had such a great experience here I was compelled to register a yelp account and post my review online. Now that's customer satisfaction! I'll be taking my car to R & N for as long as I own a BMW and I would strongly advise anyone who really cares about their beautiful Bavarian Motor to do the same. You won't regret it.

Whereas most shops (and especially the dealership) charge you an arm and a leg to check your car out, Ben didn't charge me a dime for an inspection. Now is it just me, or is this the way mechanics really should be? If he finds a problem then sure, you'll pay to have it fixed but if he doesn't then you don't. As a previous poster said, this place is an absolute god-send."
