KSport BigBrakeKit...
Hello,
Well I was looking into a BBK and didn't want to spend that much $ on brembo but I found something else and figured I try them out. Ksport Procomp Front Big Brake Kit (14 in. Rotor 8 Piston Caliper) 8 Piston Aluminum calipers D.O.T. Compliant Stainless steel brake lines Machined aluminum hats Carbon steel brackets Minimum Required Wheel Size 356mm (14") large ventilated discs (18" wheels required) High quality Ksport SC5 street brake pads It comes in two color choices - Anodized Black & Orange. I got the orange to match the orange reflection in the corner of the headlight! Well in 3-4 weeks I should have this kit I can't wait to install them. So I can't really comment on them until further notice.

powerful brakes , good idea to upgrade the rear also or just use smaller fronts if you don`t want to upgrade rears .
I would question if those calipers have dust seals to protect the alloy pistons from corrosion otherwise you will be taking them off the disc to clean and lube very frequently . |

these are for the fronts. for the rear i might hold off for a bit and just upgrade the rotor/pad setup. Ill email ksport and see what they say regarding the specs on the caliper, thanks

XYZ = K-Sport = D2 - all the exact same brake kit, just rebranded.
Basically cheap copies of the AP Racing kits - used the same pads etc. But not rebuildable and you cannot use AP parts on these kits other than the pads. Just stick with Brembo, stoptech, or AP (in that order). Pad selection is plenty, there is a lot of testing and development that went into those kits for the car, and you'll be much happier with the feel, performnance, and reliability. Maybe 30-50% more expensive up front, but the lack of headaches, problems, failures (maybe), will be far greater than the 30-50% higher cost. $0.02

I understand what you mean. Hey, there is only one way, which is to try and go from there. Ksports website looks like they have different prodcuts , suspention kits etc. there is also a site in the UK. Looks legit!

I will post an update.... but here is some info on the caliper.
Our extreme lightweight caliper comes in differential bore configuration. It is machined from aircraft quality billet, weighs just over 5lbs. each, and has machined in protection grooves for the bridge tubes. Aluminum pistons, high temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates are also standard on each caliper design. The opposed piston caliper design greatly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over the OEM design. The stainless steel brake lines stop expansion under pressure. I also emailed customer support and got this answer regarding the seals. **** Thanks for your interest. And we do not offer drilled rotors and we do not like the surface cracking that is very common on them. Yes the calipers have dust seals around the piston. Thanks, Nick J.
