So I found both 6piston and 8piston 14" kits on these... what's the story?

The 6piston ones can be found for $1500, but the 8piston one is $1k more

No apologies needed.

Jokingly, I told my wife that yellow BBKs would look good on her X5. She agreed. I take that as a yes to go ahead and pull the trigger. So I'm just waiting to see about the fitment "issues."

I had some time to spare and came across different people/cars that have went ahead with K-Sport's. So far I have read nothing but great stuff and there is also a guy with a M3 that has it installed. Here are the links, read through them all... might help you ease your mind, mine has

http://www.ksport.co.uk/vids/Ksport-JP-July07.pdf - Report
Couple teaser pics from my M3 remodel - E46Fanatics - M3
Review: K-Sport 6 pots rear and 8 pot front kit - Mitsubishi Lancer Register Forum - EVO
Ksports BBK for Supra - Page 2 - Supraforums.com - Supra

Now the X is not a track rat, but im sure you can't go wrong with them.
