Rear Locks Fail to Open using Fob
I have a problem with my 2004 X5. Recently when I go to unlock the vehicle using the keyfob the rear doors and tail gate don't unlock. The front doors are fine though. So I get in and put the key in the ignition and set to postion 1. Then I unlock the doors using the internal door lock button. Thereafter the fob works fine. It seems to happen when the vehicle has been left standing for some time. The dealer said they found some errors in the coding, charged me £80 and recoded the thing, but guess what, the next day the same problem. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Regards RobC

Having done a bit of reading and another chat with the dealer it sounds like the GM3 is the problem.
