2006 X5 - Rough Ride

Hey Everyone,

I just purchased an 06 X5

The ride however is pretty rough and I'm not sure if this is normal or if when I bought it they filled the tire pressure higher than what's rated...Reason I think this is when I test drove it, the tire pressure light was on and I asked them to fix it...so I'm thinking they just filled the tires until the light went off...

Let me know your thoughts. It might be just normal with this vehicle...not sure.

Thanks and here's a couple pics

I had an 06 3.0 with the sport package. I thought the vehicle rode incredibly rough and choppy. I currently drive an 06 4.4 with the sport package which has a much improved smoother ride surprisingly even though it has lower profile 19s. The 3.0 had the OEM tires, not sure what type of tires you have on yours ?

Have you checked the pressure they put in your tyres?
I am surprised you say your X5 has a rough ride!I am now running 87s on my sportpacket x5 and the ride is firm but not rough but when I had the 19s,the ride was pretty confortable .
You running,what,17s or 18s?With those wheels, your X5 should be very confortable....

Maybe have your struts checked out. Especially if you just bought it. Soft tires would mask weak struts. Overinflated tires would be a rougher ride than properly inflated. But if your struts are good overinflated tires would give you a firm feel not a rough ride.

I solved the problem....

I returned the car and bought a 2010 X5 3.0 LOADED

Now I don't have to worry about warranty/problems/ANYTHING...

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!

I'll post a pic or two when I pick it up
