Whistle Steering Wheel Telescopic Motor Problem

Yesterday my steering wheel stopped telescoping in and out when I removed the key. It doesn't respond to the switch though it will still adjust up and down and makes a slight noise as if trying to move. I checked around the neck assembly to make sure nothing was jammed in it.

Have any of you experienced this or have any idea what would cause it or do I just need to take it to the stealer (out of warranty).

I have noticed that the telescope function is sensitive to the position of the steering wheel on the vertical axis. ie. sometimes when i try to telescope it in or out, it'l only move a little, but if a rasie the wheel up a little it'l work fine. Maybe that's the case? But, I it's always worked fine when i took out the key and moved to it's 'off' position.

Yeah, mine is intermittent too. I sometimes can get it unstuck by pulsing the switch.
