04 X5 4.4 going into dealer day before warranty expires - ADVICE PLS

My CPO warranty expires this Saturday and I have the X booked into the dealership for a full workover on the Friday. I know my break pads are wearing thin and will probably need replacing but what else should I ask them to check out for me? Am very wary of being hit with a $000 repair shortly after the warranty goes . . . . I had them total up what the repairs done in 2009 would have cost without warranty coverage and it was almost $7,500!

Car has 68,000 miles and had the 60,000 service done about 4 months ago.

Thanks,

whats happens if they diagnose the car but do all the work on the few days after you bring it to the dealer. you might get plastered with some hefty bills to pay. ill keep my fingers crossed for u. keep me updated on the coverage

CPO won't cover brake pads/rotors...few dlrs will do an inspection-like diagnosis,
so unless something is "broke", (and covered by CPO), I would be careful that
the dlr doesn't come back to you with a laundry list of "recommended repairs",
at your expense.
