4200K or 6000K Bulb

Got my headlight replaced through insurance. Came with 4200K OEM bulb. it no longer matches my 6000K passenger side. Can't decide if I should replace the the factory bulb with a 6000K or passenger side with the OEM bulb.

I'm thinking of installing angel eyes later on, and I'm afraid they won't match the OEM bulbs? What u guys think?

Cool Thank. So should I stick with 4200K AE to get the best match?

Yeah, good lighting link. It is on the X5 tips page.

I have been using Philips Vision Plus (halogens) in my X5 for a while now and love them. Glad to hear Philips sounds like one of the best companies out there.

4300K is best. Just make sure you replace with a pair.

4300k is plain white and kinda boring in my opinion..I prefer the 6000k, still white with very good light output, but has more style with a very slight blue tint...

Ya I prefer 6000K too for the color. But I noticed with the new 4200k bulb on the driver side, the cut off is a lot sharper with a cool purple line at the top of beam. And more light output, less glare, but not a whitish/ blue.

Also, I noticed that when the driver side bulb (4200k?) comes on it's a blueish white, then goes to yellowish white after a few seconds. Is this normal? It looks too yellow for 4200K. Almost like a halogen. Doesn't look like other HID headlights...
