Check engine light on headlights acting weird ??
This happened to be before. My check engine light came on and stayed on and I noticed that one of my headlight HID buld wouldnt come on. This happened for days on end then all of a sudden just stopped and everything worked just fine. Spoke to my mechanic and said it could have somthing to do with the CANBUS. Could a weak battery cause these issues to trigger the check engine light ?? Its a 2004 4.4 X5. Probably original battery. There is no drivability issues (none that I notice). I have 105,000km and just did an Inspection 2. Has this happend to anyone before Thanking you in advance Last edited by Greekthang; 01-14-2010 at 10:08 PM. |

Batteries cause havoc on these cars. Try installing one just to be sure, if not, at least you can swap your old one back in.
