TOO MUCH RAIN!?

Hi All,

I unavoidably drove through huge rain puddles yesterday. We have right hand drives here so the front left took the bulk of the water.

Now the X5 is idling tough and has much loss of power

I took all the electrical plugs I could see off and gave them a spray with "contact cleaner" - No luck.

Any idea what could be the problem? Would love to avoid the stealers if I could!

It is a 2002 E53 X5 3.0d.

Any chance the air cleaner/filter might be wet? I'd open it up to check.

At what speed did you hit the water and its depth?

Please keep us posted.
