On a serious note; any particular reason you are using 0-40 rather than 5-30? I know VW and MB use 0-40 but the manual calls for that. The BMW manual and cap have 5-30 on them.

He's prob using 0w-40 because of the cold weather i'm guessing. the oil 0w-40 is a little thinner, and less likely to give you oil seperator problems in the cold weather. At least this seems to be the case. I've seen other board members try this and from what i recall it seems to work ok.
