You might have unlocked the Board Computer into the diagnostics menu, which displays a whole lot of information. Does it display something like "test 0.__" ?
No harm done, it will revert back to normal display if you remove the key and reinsert, or if you just leave it be. |

Thanks for the link and I was able to read the ODB hidden manual. The only thing I was not able to do, is to change the setting. Its seems everything on my X5 are listed as "Lock:ON". Do you have any advice how I can change them to OFF? Sam

The lock code is the sum of the last five # of VIN.
First, do what you did and go to menu 19._ and it will display Lock: ON. Wait a couple seconds and it should prompt you for the lock code. Enter the lock code by pressing the same button x number of times, and then wait a couple seconds. Then you should be able to access the info. |
