Oil Seperator Fix-it kit? Dealer gave me a list of parts

Just inquired at my local dealer about the oil seperator problems our E53s face during cold winter days. There is a list of parts that are needed to correctly fix the seperator. Supposely there is some sort of foam that gets wrapped around the seperator.

Anyone know anything about these kits?

Yea. Bmw will sell you an updated oil separator valve and new lines which are now more insulated. I believe its 4 hoses and the valve itself.

Go to Bavauto.com. They sell a kit with all the hosed and oil separator insulated for $178.00.

Is just the wrap and the lines available anywhere? I'm going to replace mine anyways this Spring, but I'm sure some have already replaced their seperator and could benefit from just the wrap.

Nice! The dealer quoted me almost $350 for the same parts.

Is the 3.0 prone to this problem too?
