Not sure but it was a great color. Had it on my last E53 4.4i. I don't know why they did away with that color. It's so much nicer than the Space Gray.

I thought the 4.8iS only came in black sapphire, titanium silver, imola red, and lemans blue.

It was a non-US color on the 4.8is

There is one on eBay right now with a reassigned VIN, I think it is from Mexico?

Looked extremely shady

that VIN is not a re-assigned one. It is the one BMW recognizes when the vehicle is in service, Mexico VIN tags are different than US ones. That X5 is a genuine Euro Model.

and there is no such thing as a Sterling Grey Metallic on Grey Interior 4.8is. If such freak exists, it would be a custom one made after it left the factory. Posting the last 7 of the VIN would reveal what color combo it left the factory in.

also forgot Estoril Blue available in 2004. Other colors that were orderable for High End Clients were the Individual X5's that were Scarab Green Metallic, Midnight Blue, and Orinoco.

My dealer had a 4.8is in sterling grey metallic. I see them pretty often here in Toronto, I had no idea they were rare in the us lol don't remember if it had a grey interior though, this one is on sale but it has black comfort seats
