I want to change the back wiper on my 2003 x5 . I want to change the complete thing cause it cleans only the half of the glass , not only the rubber thing.

I'm not a 100% sure but I reckon the rear wiper blade missing part of the glass is attributed to the wiper rubber strip being worn.
Have a read of the following, I hope it helps.
How can I replace the rear wiper blade?
i need to replace wiper blades, any suggestions?

if u pry off the cap where the arm meets the window there is a nut there. remove the nut then the whole arm should come off.

Why is the X5 rear wiper so badly designed and clumsy?? all X5 have issues with the rear wiper, and it also looks so ugly!! why didn't they do it like the Cayenne?... anyway, mine is doing the little jumps on its way back, with this trrrrr sound ...

your metal hinge for the rear wiper may be rusted up.

spray some wd40 or another hinge lubricant and work it in back and forth. after a bit, there should be positive force from the hinge on the glass.

For anybody and any wipers front or back..... I had a variety of noises and bad wipers using new "inserts" from BMW for the originals. Even brand new I had issues. I recently replaced all three with new complete "Blades" and I am very happy with BOSCH MICRO EDGE from the regular old ordinary auto parts stores. There were only about $10. I also did so on a 3 Series Coupe and another "ski" car and have been in serious Ski Season with lots or snow and lots or rain. And filthy "sanded" roads around Lake Tahoe NV / CA. I am very pleased!!!!
