Titanium tailgate handle!

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had same problem.

I ordered titanium tailgate handle from Pacific BMW (part # 51-13-7-061-248) and installed it last night. But it looked no different than my stock titanium silver handle. Is this right? My X5 is titanium silver.

So upon checking the part box, the # read (51-13-7-170-674). Then I called Pacific BMW to clarify this and I was told that the part number for titanium tailgate handle had changed and (51-13-7-170-674) is the right # for it and I have received a correct part. He also told me that since my X5 is in titanium silver, the titanium tailgate handle won't look much different than stock one. Is this right?

He told me to go ahead and return it for full refund.

What do you guys think?

I ordered the Titanium Liftgate handle about 2 months ago under the 1st part # that you ordered. As far as I know, that is the right one - as per X5 Accessories Catalog.

I don't know how much difference the color would be from your stock one though. It might be similar, but I'm not sure.........I doubt it would be the same color.

My guess is that the parts guy made a mistake and thought you said Titanium Silver color, rather than the regular titanium trim color. He probably looked it up under color, rather than the part #. Who knows ?

I think they are both pretty similar. I would return it, it wouldn't look much different from what you have now.

I just checked the box my titanium trim tailgate handle came in and it has the same part number as yours, therefore it's the right one!!! If you don't see much of a difference then maybe you should just return it, IMO!!!
