What kit do you have for the XM?

If you have the Blizsafe kit from EAS is very easy to install. If not disregard the rest of my post.

To install take one plug from car radio (cd changer) and plug into the blizsafe then that into the xm commander then connect the antenna to the commander and place it on the top of the truck. All the seals around the rear door come off to hide the wire. The wire from the radio is located in the driver side rear quarter panel, near the bottom. There is only one wire that will fit properly (the one for cd changer). Hope this helps.

Yes, Blitzsafe
I don't have a c/d changer or Nav.
I see that there is a "bundled" bunch of wires that seem to be pluged into a small black box at the bottom of the compartment in the left quarter panel...do I unplug that?

I just installed the kit last weekend. There should be two cables not plugged into anything. I found mine in the bottom right corner, tucked into other cables. I removed one black nylon tiestrap from the bundle to give more slack in the cables. Once the two cables are located, it's as simple as plugging those into the Blitzsafe box, then the Blitzsafe cables into the XM Radio box, then connecting the XM antenna. I spent most of my time routing my antenna up the inside of the hatch and out through the rubber gasket near the hinge for the rear hatch.

AH HA, I found the two plugs, they sure are hidden in the bundle of wires...then it started to rain, so the rest of the "installation" will have to wait till...tomorrow.
I guess you used the magnetic antenna...If this works out I am thinking to get a real antenna and .....gulp..... drill a hole in the roof if the plugs are the same...
Thanks B 4 U

There is a diy on these forums for hiding the antenna in the rear spoiler ( I like hidden antennas). I am thinking of trying it out when it warms up here. Too cold as I only have a carport at my townhouse

Once again thanks Kunphuzi0n, I did as you said...found the wires hidden in the "bundle" plugged in and wonder of wonders IT WORKS..AMAZING.
This is something ANYONE CAN DO (yes hamhanded klutzes too)
I can't have any more praise for the BLITZSAFE and XM box than to say it is the easiest and best "hack" (for lack of a better description) I have ever done to any car!
I will investigate the "hidden" antenna next. (do they have the same plug that is needed for the box

No poblem. I was amazed at how easy the system was to install as well!!

For the spoiler hidden antenna you use the same antenna from the kit. You just take off the rear spoiler cover and place the antenna in there. Secure it. Then put the spoiler back in place. Looke very easy. Curiousabout reception when the antenna is in the spoiler though. Guess I'll find out if you do it or when I do in the spring.
