Low Level Buzzing/Humming Noise @ Climate Control-FSR Problem??

I have combed through the threads and can not find anything that duplicates my problem.

1. Fan/Blower and Temperature all seem to work fine
2. No battery drain
3. Problem is a low level buzzing sound coming from the Climate Control (in front of the shifter)

Will a FSR (Final Stage Resister) replacement fix this?

Sorry I should mention that's it's a 2005

Mine does it to!This low humming noise from the AC area is normal. You will find that it will go off once the car goes to sleep(shifter light off).

There is a fan in the climate control panel, apprently it needs to be cleared of dust and lubed.

I could see it making noise if it was dirty but why is it still running when the X5 is not on? Anyone know what's involved to get at it to clean it?

AC climate control fan noise

I have the same issue and one thing that surprised me was how long the fan runs for when the car is off.

One question. How do I lube the fan to stop it making so much noise? Would I blow all the dust and crap out with canned air and spray a bit of WD40 in?

Mine only makes the whurr/humm when the ac is on, otherwise the car is super quiet - i'd like to know how to get it to stop too as its noisy in the car with the AC on
