I am also curious on how good of a deal I got. 2006 X5 57000 miles. in what looks like mint condition. new tires $30,000. one owner carfax certified and dealer certified for 12 months. any opinions. to view actual X5 the dealer had a youtube vid. YouTube - 2006 BMW X5 4.8is 02760 First Hyundai

I didn't see much on the Youtube about the interior. Assuming everything is in excellent shape, I'd say your price was pretty decent. I just bought my '05 4.8is in December. At the time, it had just under 60k miles, fully loaded (including nav, but not sliding cargo tray). Tires were ready to be replaced, I paid $29k. Yours is a year newer for almost the same price with new tires. Not shabby in my opinion:-)

Ok its been about 2 weeks now in the new ride and I am still impressed. I have had numerouse people radomly say to me "nice ride", maybe its because I've been to the carwash twice already. Seriousely though I am new to the BMW world and am still learning and loving my X5 4.8 more each day>

I'm still impressed w/ my 4.4 from time to time, so I can only imagine a 4.8. Enjoy it, and if you ever have maintenance issues, make sure to search around...there is tons of information and just about everything has been covered before on these vehicles.

Enjoy it!

Thanks I want to get some pics up when the weather breaks and I can clean it up . It seems like each time it gets washed I hit one sandy puddle and its dirty again. Ugg. I had a tough time choosing between the X5 and the range rover sport. Can someone tell me why I made the right choice. My main reason was the performance and the price I got vs. the Range. Also the Range and all its buttons and features that I will never use was a bit intimidating. Thanks

They're about the same reliability wise, but at least we're a better crowd
