Painted Valve cover - what do you think?

Hey All:
Half way on my little 3 week long project. Aside from ripping out the stereo (more to come on this), I had a pretty bad oil leak. I decided to replace the following:
1) valve cover gaskets
2) VANOS gaskets
3) Upper timing chain cover gaskets

While I had everything apart, I was disgusted by the valve covers and decided they needed a facelift. So here's what I did.

1) stripped the paint off with aircraft pain stripper
2) painted to valve cover with high gloss 500F paint
3) painted the plastic cover with black "hammered" look paint

Here's the end result:

Here's a comparison before I pull the other cover. Look at how much cleaner the left side looks:

I'm also using the "hammered" paint on the top cover and using some high heat adhesive to attached my old hood emblem (which is almost a perfect fit by the way). Pics of that to come along with drivers side.
