Hey great stuff. Thanks for posting. I didn't realize the bottom cut out was so small! As far as the top cut outs are concerned, will they accommodate a radar detector or are they just too small?

I was in the middle of doing this when you responded. To put it textually, the top cutout is one big cutout spanning about 15" across the top with angles to the bottom middle. Because of the mirror cluster you have a good solid 3"X3" square on each side, plus the part that angles up to the corners (~6" across the top). The bottom cutout is about 3"X3" as well, but you have a wiper right in the middle. As you can see I found the camera, but as I've stated before I am not Ansel A.

I'm having a Comfort Windshield installed tomorrow. I just paid the difference between what my insurace co. paid for my cracked windshield and a new Comfort one (100)

Looks like the cutouts for the V1 and turnpike transponder are a little on the small size....

My thoughts too, particularly given the bump that exists from the garage opener/microphone/assist buttons panel. Do you have a V1 or other detector and can you give installation a shot and let use know?

Where are you having the work done, BMW dealer or another shop? Are you getting the OEM or OE comfort windshield?

Why are you insisting on OE vs OEM out of curiosity?

Understood, but whose warranty? I believe BMW's 2 year parts warranty will only be valid if BMW does the work. The installer probably has his own warranty and I'm sure that one is the same for OEM and OE glass. Peace of mind goes a long way I'll agree with that; however I'm not sure if there is any discernible difference between OE and OEM glass.
