front turn signal bulb + cpo questions

yea so, my passenger side turn signal bulb is out. i actually got my left one done a year or so ago at the dealership, wrong move (cost me like $150, complete bs waste of money). anyway, looking back at my invoice statement, the bulb cost $8.75. my question is should i simply purchase this bulb at BMW or is there some site where i can find it for cheaper? (also found the DIY on the main homepage, thank you to whoever posted that up, you are doing us all a great favor!)

also, in regards to my CPO which is ending soon (im at 99,200miles) what should i ask the dealership to do (i also have maintenence warranty).

Think BMW main dealer is best for the Bulb purchase at least you get the correct one, fitted one last week to my X5 took about 10 minutes. Good Luck

should be able to get the bulb anywhere, what is the part number/bulb number?

Just go to autozone or any auto parts store and buy the bulb.. it takes like, maybe 5 minutes to change. $150 is highway robbery man...

Thats funny I was just looking on here for the same issue and printed out those install instructions. My drivers side just went out and they quoted me $190 from Stealer to replace. That was to change the socket too bc they fig since they have to take the whole damn thing out why not replace another part so they dont have to do it later.

The socket has nickel plated connector that loose it "springyness" thus making very poor contact. Mine gives warning in rainiy cold day, so I took it out check the bulb(which of course is good). My fix is to sand the nickel off, solder some tin/flux and no more anoying false bulb-out warning (for 2-3 years now).
Or you can go to dealer and get the new socket which shouldn't be more than $15, I was either cheap or resourceful

you can get the bulbs from autozone or pepboys. they would be around $3 something for a pair. I can give you a free bulb if you wanna come by. I have some extra front signal bulbs.

Bulb from anywhere, but I've changed my driver side twice, and
I still get an occasional left turn signal glitch; I agree with posters
above that it could very well be the socket connection. Next time
I'm in there, I'm changing the socket, which may be a BMW part
only as opposed to an Autozone deal.

if i replace the front signal bulb will the twice as fast blinking stop and return to normal speed? it stated on the invoice statement that the car was reset. please let me know, thanks.
