Rear Windshield Spray

My 2006 X5 is coming near its factory warranty (2 weeks left). I brought the car into the dealer (bmw manhattan) last week because the SES light was on solid for 6 days prior bringing it in (definitely not gas cap). However when i got the car back today there was nothing on the report about it. The service ad visor says he does not remeber it being on when i brought it it even though he recorded on his paper that it was indeed on and the time that HE saw it on. Also he says the technician saw nothing...any thoughts on that? or whether i should be worried?
Also the rear winshield cleaner sprayer is shooting the fluid in a straight line downward, however i don't remember it doing that before (i rarely use it) Also my friend with an x3 says it is supposed to spray like the ones in the front where it covers more of the windshield. The dealership did nothing about it and says that is the way it is supposed to be. He even showed my 2 other cars in for service and they also shoot downward like mine.
i initially thought it was the nozzle going bad but im starting to feel like it is a major design flaw. Is it really supposed to be like that?

My rear window washer always sprayed a stream and not a mist. There is a lot of discussion on here about it, many are the same way. I always figured out it was designed to flood the wiper, and reduce scratches from the grit on the rear window. I certainly wouldn't call it a major design flaw, that seems a bit extreme.

If the SES light isn't on, there isn't much to diagnose. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah I had the same worry, i had a different issue altogether where the entire rear washerfluid just stopped working, after time i guess it just started to work again on its own, but yeah it does indeed just stream down the window.
