Side window moldings

I was wondering if some side molding kits (glossy blacks, carbon look, etc) are available to glue on the current faded black ones?

I'm pretty sure they are. i'm not sure how i feel about them though...

if u really put some good elbow grease with NuFinish polish you can get them looking pretty good again.

IT TAKES ALOT OF WORK though. trust me, i've spent alot of time trying to bring back that original non faded look

Yeah, I took some time too to polish them, very hard, but they begin to fade again

Yeah same here. They started it fade again and it's the #1 thing I dislike about my X5. I'm looking to get them painted this summer so I can stop shaking my head every time I look at it.

The only trim kit I seen for it was chrome and carbon fiber. And i wouldn't want to put those on. I like the gloss black look.

I've almost purchased the BMW Carbon pieces for the B and C pillar door caps to mask the aging factory finish....I'm just concerned on how flush they fit and if they look out of place on the car itself.

The ones from ebay really look off and aren't precisely cut. Some parts are straight and flush, others are too wide for the part they overlay, or cut at the incorrect angle. Also, ebay kits are 10 pieces total, 5 per side. The OEM BMW kit is a 6 piece kit, 3 per side.
