Anyway to install automatic retracting mirrors for an 01?

Basic question, is there anyway to install automatic retracting mirrors for an 01 4.4i?

I'm not sure, but it would definitely involve having to change your window switches because you are missing a button for the retraction. hmm

Not sure about the automatic part, because I had factory electric folding mirrors on my '03, but I had to push the button to fold them and unfold them.

Edit: Just checked and saw that it was not a factory option in 2001. So, you would need the wiring harness as well as two mirror assemblies, and the switch panel on the driver's door. We would need a technician to advise whether any recoding would be required, but I suspect not. If so, it would be a non-starter.

Even if it is possible, I wonder about the utility. I probably folded mine four times in four years.

You may retrofit it in any x5 with electrial window lifts. You will need the following parts to retrofit on LHD vehicles with Electronic Window Lifts.

Drivers Door Module 61316962506
Passenger Door Module 61316962505

Non Sport Package Electrochromic Mirror Flat Black Mirror Assembly
Drivers Side 51167039909
Passenger Side 51167039910

Sport Package Electrochromic Mirror Glossy Black
Drivers Side 51167039925
Passenger Side 51167039926
