Can't wait to install them. One tip has a nick in it from either the dealer catching it on the floor or wall or it happened during shipping. Not super noticeable, but now that it's there, I may grind off the welds and weld on a replacement tip.

What mods have you bought for your X this spring?
Has it been dyno proven that the 4.8 mufflers make any increase in horsepower at all?

As for currently done mods...painted calipers and rotor hats, front and rear. New CV boot, grease and all - that's a mod, right HID foglights, went w/ 6000k bulbs but I think I'm going to bump them down to 5000k. Few months back I removed the stock cd player and installed an AVIC F90BT, and I'm still wrapping up the fiberglassing work on the stock subwoofer enclosure. Hardwired and mounted radar detector between headliner and rearview mirror.

Future mods...ENTIRE cooling system replacement, pre-VANOS intake manifold swap, Powerchip software, Mercedes paddle shifters, complete LED interior and license plate lighting.

I'd like to know how those turn out. Any chance on doing before and after dyno's, just for the sake of knowing for sure instead of relying on the butt dyno

Rasta...check with member Li-X5, i believe he was selling a pretty serious sound system. And i vote for the powdercoated 168's

My mods are new OEM DVD unit for rear entertainment system. Module burnt out and monitors play in b&w.

Usually only use spacers for winter setup but kept the 30mm on rear with summers and love the look. Ordered 15mm for fronts.

Roundels are all black so gonna match with shadowline trim pieces in semi-gloss black. May also have the exhaust tips coated semi-gloss black.

Purely my speculation, but I can only assume there is slightly better flow between the N62 4.4 and 4.8 exhaust systems. It would be interesting to know what performance improvements, if any, it has, but I just personally love the sound of it...and looks.

Interesting, which rear entertainment system do you have and which module died on you?

I'd have to pull the exact part numbers but I have the floor mounted DVD unit (#4 below), with wireless headphones and headrest monitors. Took it in to dealer and they say "a diagnosis revealed a burnt out module within the DVD unit" is the culprit for the system playing in b&w. They suggested replacing the DVD unit.

I read through the system manual to troubleshoot and it made mention of the monitors playing in b&w if it runs for an extended period and gets too hot. The longest it's ever been used is the length of a feature film
