Picked up my 4.4i yesterday with mods! (Pics included)

Been on the forum for a while now, always found it very informative and seems to have a great bunch of members from what I read.

Anyhow I had a 2005 X5 last year, 3.0i, Sapphire Black and Exclusive Nappa sand leather, Comms pack etc. I really liked the car apart from the constant washing as black on an X5 shows dirt very quickly!

Then went back to a 330, again fully loaded and very nice all round.

Then Saturday I picked up my new car, Nov 2004 X5, the misses didn't want grey, I didn't want black (too much cleaning) and I've had Estroil blue (plus don't think the colour works on the x5) so it was down to Toldeo Blue or Olivin, the latter is the colour the misses wanted and what we got.

Olivin seems to be a rare colour option on the X5 especially since it was only available between 2004 and 2006. It's a really nice colour and varies in colour in different light. It's a kind of grey/green/gold and I personally think a well balanced colour for the E53 and quite unique as is this X5.

I've also decide on the 4.4i due to power upgrade over the 3.0i which was well under powered. My 4.4i has also had an LPG conversion using BRC solution. I must say the setup is very impressive, it's impossible to know if the car is running on petrol or gas plus the bonus of cheaper fuel will make the running a 4.4i more bearable. Did think of the 3.0d but the premium doesn’t seems to weigh up for the mileage its going to be used per year plus I’ve heard a few too many shock stories on turbos going.

I've always been somebody who loves his toys and appreciates factory options, this x5 has got a few

63k miles
Exclusive black Nappa seat + Comfort + heated
OEM 4.8i wide arch kit
Colour coded body kit
OEM 4.6i 20" alloys
Full Comms pack
Light tints up front matching the sun protection rears.
Running boards
etc.

Anyway onto the pics.

I will no doubt be posting a few posts moving forward with advice requests ops: and mods etc. :P

So peeps what do you think of my new waggon?

cheers guy's. Mods will be smaller for now. Chrome dial rings, possible CF interior. new wheel caps, ipod integration, 4.8i tips, then possible sub installation.

Like the smked front tints, they are exactly the same tint as the factory rears.

Thanks for your comments. Will post one I get them on.
