E39 seats in X5

Has anybody tried/know if the E39 seats will fit in an x5

This is for a friend of mine who has and x5 and needs to replace the front seats

Don't know about E39 seats maybe little modification like wiring harness...but the E46 seats is directly swap.

Is that so? Nice, like plug n play with the harness too? does the m3 seat fit then.I was given a dealer car for a day and it was a 550I GT wow the seats in that were soo comfy.

AFAIK they are all interchangeable across the board.

Maybe unique models like the Z3/Z4 are different but all 1,3,5,7,X3,X5 are the same.

Adapting heated or ventilated seats into a car not originally equipped with them may require additional wiring for those features to work.

Check your mounting points. The 5 series won't fit. E46 has a strong chance though. Double and triple check everything before buying...
