Pairing Palm Pre with 06' X

I recently upgraded from a Palm Treo 755P to the Palm Pre. The Treo was pair to my X, no problem, but the phone book never loaded.
When I got the Pre, it paired and worked, no phone book. about 3 weeks later, the phone stopped being seen by the car.
Shop forman at the dealer said the TCU needs to have the old phones cleared out. It was only a half hour labor, so I had this done.
I couldn't be more pleased with the results! It took about 10 attempts at pairing, but finally worked and phone book loaded as well.

Couple of tips, on the palm pre, go into the actual bluetooth menu to go into searching mode. after each unsuccessful attempt to pair the phone, take the key out of the ignition, and open the driver's door for a few seconds. This resets some kind of memory in the car.

Note: I had the same issue with my wifes Sanyo 2700 phone, it too works after this clearing of the TCU.
