Yes, but be sure to buy the hangers for the 4.6/4.8 as well. See http://www.xoutpost.com/showarticle-12.html

I called CenterBMW..they told me the 4.6 exhaust and the 4.8 exhaust are different, they quoted me $900 for each side on the 4.6 model exhaust, what is the difference?

I am guessing that the difference lies in variations between the 4.6 engine and the valvetronic 4.8 engine exhaust manifold configuration. I would recommend going with the 4.6 model because it's known to connect up properly to the 3.0, and the tips are the same.

Yea that's what I'm afraid of...the price he quoted me would then be $1800 for the whole system which I definitely cannot pay for....the 4.8 system is $8-900 not for each side but for the set

Why not poll the guys here who have replaced their exhaust and see if they want to sell it to you? Also, I believe you can still get a Remus for the same price... Another thing, wasn't Krukman selling his Remus??

Not to mention that the hangers might be different as the muffler on the 4.8 is a totally different shape the then 4.6.

I’d play it safe and spear the 4.6 kit. Many 3.0 owners have done the conversion with little to no problems.
Thanks for the clarification, are they then correct on the pricing quote they gave me for the 4.6 exhaust?

I opted for the 4.8is silencers because of a tip here by one of our members that the 4.8 silencers were some 300 usd cheaper than the 4.6!!!!
In Europe 4.6 silencers cost to the general public around 1300 usd, while the 4.8 you can get them for 1000 usd.............Should be similar in the US??
