New wheels for my X

Hey All,

I figure it's time I add a little meat to the pot. I've been reading up a lot on this forum and have received a lot of help directly and indirectly.

I know some of you were having questions regarding replica rims vs OEM's. Well, I wanted to "beef" up my X a bit and ordered some replica 215's (20") for my '06 4.4, and so far they're great. I took some pics of the OEM's and the reps on a scale and can add them latter if requested. The reps were roughly 10lbs more than the OEM's but that's also expected since the wheels are a bit wider (10 & 11 vs. 8.5).

I was a little hesitant on the purchase of the reps b/c of the hub centric rings that I'd have to use and the fear of not having the same quality wheel but I have to say the X drives better now than before. I'm not getting any vibes or shakes at all. For some reason I'm getting better gas mileage now than I was with the OEM's, which doesn't make sense since the wheels weigh 10lbs more each??? Can it be because on my OEM's I had brand new tires on the rear and the fronts need to be replaced soon? Wonder if that would make a difference.
Most likely I'm just babying the X since I want to get a feel for the new wheels.

Anyways, the X looks and drives like a champ.
Here are a few pics of my new ride.
(Check out Craigslist for my OEM's)

ArtMan,

I picked up the wheels from Wheeltech Tuning. The finish on them really is very nice. The dark gray or (ferric gray) goes real well with the saphire black X.
Wheeltech was great to work with. Shipping was real fast without any issues. I'd deffinitly recommend them. Time will tell how well they hold up.

Thank you for keeping us posted. They look amazing!!! If they hold up for the rest of this year, I will definitely have to get a set for my black X as well.
