how much does it cost to replace E53 fuel pump
After some information gathering I figured my X5's fuel pump might need replacement. Does anyone know what's the cost range for this? I probably will not have it done at the local dealer since they always wants an arm and leg, plus my first born son. Thanks for the input.

I had mine replaced under warranty at the dealer in my 02 4.4i. Cost was listed at about $550 parts and labor.

wow, really? that doesn't sound like a BMW dealer
my local dealer said it cost $375 just to siphon out the bad gas from the gas tank. Isn't that crazy?

375 to siphon gas out.. wow... 6 bucks for a pump from harbor freight and you are done...
