oil change prices?

looking to get an oil change from an auto shop nearby now that my warranty and maintenance program is over. what price is reasonable? i got quoted at one spot for $84. the only reason i wouldnt want to do it myself is because i would have no clue where to dispose of the old oil. PLEASE HELP!

Okay, $84 is reasonable price but make sure he puts in an original BMW filter and of course the RIGHT oil, by right of course either BMWs recommended oil or if you have around 80k + mileage id recommend Mobil 1 0w-40.

You should be able to dispose of any old oil at any auto parts store. Oreilly's in my area gladly takes it back for free.

I get charged $99 at my local dealer. I guess this isn't a big deal considering the amount of quarts (8) for synthetic, filter, quick inspection and labor. I'd rather spend $10 more having it done at the dealer with BMW oil, IMO.

Check your local dealer what the price would be.

Do it yourself and dispose of the oil naturally, back to the earth

Cost me over $60 to do it myself using BMW oil and filters.
